Animals are my passion
l had the most amazing 4th grade teacher. Mrs. Smith was the one who taught me how to draw. When I was in junior high school, I got my first horse and my obsession with drawing horses began. In college, I took a class in watercolor and I began to dabble in oil painting. But, my first love was still horses; so I graduated college with a degree in Animal Science. After graduation I worked as a groom for a large Arabian Horse farm where I had the privilege of working with some of the finest representatives of the breed. Unfortunately, the physical requirements took a toll and I was forced to change careers.
About a year ago, I discovered an amazing colored pencil artist named Bonny Snowdon. Through her, I have met a wonderful family of artists that have helped and supported me with getting the confidence to take my art to the next level. Through colored pencil, I have rediscovered my passion for animals.
